Sunday, August 9th, 2026: History Display at Acton Leathertown Festival
Come on down to the 2026 edition of the Acton Leathertown Festival where you can visit Vintage Acton to learn about Acton's history and to see a special display marking the 40th anniversary since the closure of the Beardmore Tannery! Time & Palce: 11 A.M. to 5 P.M. on Mill Street East in Downtown Acton.
Saturday, August 15th, 2026: Acton SNAP Summer Walk & Talk (Rescheduled from July 18th)
Discover Acton’s rich history and learn about the environmental work underway to make Fairy Lake cleaner, greener and more resilient as part of the CVC's Acton Sustainable Neighbourhood Action Plan (Acton SNAP). Learn about the history of Acton and how Fairy Lake came to be. Hosted in collaboration with Scott Brooks of Vintage Acton. Sunday, August 16th, 2026: Historic Walking Tour - Fairview Cemetery
Learn about the many local historic figures that are buried at Fairview Cemetery as Scott Brooks shares the stories of the lives they lived. This is the fourth tour of the ever-popular cemetery tour and features a new list of historic figures each time! Time & Place: Starts at 2 P.M. - Gates of Fairview Cemetery off Cobblehill Road. All welcome to attend, admission by donation. Rain Date: Sunday, August 23rd.

Thursday, September 24th, 2026: Historic Walking Tour - The Gone, But Not Forgotten Buildings of Downtown Acton
As part of Culture Days, and in partnership with Hillsview Active Living Seniors Centre, join Vintage Acton's Scott Brooks to learn about the many buildings that once graced Acton's landscape as part of 'The Gone, But Not Forgotten Buildings of Downtown Acton'. Time & Place: 10 A.M. - outside of the Acton Town Hall Centre, 19 Willow Street North. Register for free at the Hillsview Active Living Seniors Centre in Acton, 415 Queen Street. Rain Date: October 1st.
Saturday, September 26th, 2026: Halton Hills History Fair
As part of Culture Days, Vintage Acton will be hosting a history fair at the Halton Hills Public Library and Cultural Centre, 9 Church Street, Georgetown. Learn about the entire history of Halton Hills and meet the local organizations who help to preserve and share our past. See here for more details.
Sunday, November 1st, 2026: Legion Christmas Bazaar
Come to the Legion Christmas Bazaar to purchase Vintage Acton merchandise (makes for unique gifts!), and to speak with Scott Brooks about local history. Time & Place: 10 A.M. - 3 P.M. - Royal Canadian Legion Branch 197, Acton, 15 Wright Avenue.
