Visit haltonhillsfilmdatabase.ca to learn about the many movies and television productions that were filmed within Halton Hills!
The Halton Hills Film Database is a website dedicated to the cataloging and preservation of the movie and television productions that were produced in their entirety or in part within the municipal boundaries of Halton Hills.
The project of creating a film database for Halton Hills began in January 2025 between Downtown Acton BIA coordinator Matthew Galliford and local historian Scott Brooks, combining both their passions for the film industry and local history. The film database is in honour of Galliford who passed away on October 30th, 2025.
The year 2025 marked 200 years since Acton was settled and it was a busy year of celebrating!
A special thank you to everyone who joined Vintage Acton in honouring the anniversary of when the area known today as 'Acton', was first settled by Rev. Ezra, Rev. Zenas and Rufus Adams in 1825.
All throughout the year, as part of the 'Acton 200' campaign, Vintage Acton presented historical information, photos and presentations relating to this major milestone.
In addition to presentations and tours, a pin campaign took place, raising funds for the Acton Food Share, and the burial of a time capsule at Prospect Park.
Thank you for helping to make 2025 and Acton's Bicentennial a year of celebration! ~Scott Brooks, Manager & Curator of Vintage Acton
